Sri Lanka annouched Free Visa for Indians. It can be availed on airport of arrival in Sri Lanka starting from 1st August 2019. Still, it is on pilot project so it applicable for 6 months. But tourist has to provide same documents as before. You can read below about Requirements and Steps to apply for Visa on arrival.

Requirements

Sri Lanka visa for Indians, Sri Lanks offers ETA or simply eVisa to Indians travellers or Indian passport Holders. It is very simple to apply and you will result of approval immediately after apply for ETA. Most probably you ETA will be accepted or approved as they don't follow strict policy for Indians. Sri Lanka offers ETA or eVisa and Visa on arrival at port. ETA here is Electronic Travel Authorization

Sri Lanks Tourist Visa for Indians

Documents required before apply for Sri Lanka ETA or Visa

  1. Valid Passport with at least 6 months validity
  2. Indended dates of Travel.

Documents required on arrival at port for Sri Lanka ETA or Visa

  1. Valid Passport with atleast 6 months validity
  2. ETA approval Letter. (You received on your Email)
  3. Return Flight tickets.
  4. Sufficient Funds (Rarely Checked)

Sri Lanka Tourist Visa on Arrival

Documents required on arrival at port for Sri Lanka ETA or Visa

  1. Valid Passport with atleast 6 months validity.
  2. Return Flight tickets.
  3. Sufficient Funds (Rarely Checked)
  4. Hotel Booking (May be requested)

Sri Lanka Transit Visa

Documents required on arrival at port for Sri Lanka Transit Visa

  1. Passport with minimum of 6 months validity
  2. OnWard ticket stating your departure within 2 days of arrival.

Transit Visa can also applied Online. Process is same as of ETA or eVisa. You just have to choose Transit Visa from Left hand Menu on ETA official website.

Sri Lanka Business Visa

Documents required before apply for Sri Lanka Business Visa

  1. Valid Passport with at least 6 months validity
  2. Indended dates of Travel.

Documents required on arrival at port for Sri Lanka Business Visa

  1. Valid Passport with atleast 6 months validity
  2. ETA approval Letter. (You received on your Email)
  3. Return Flight tickets.
  4. Sufficient Funds (Rarely Checked)

How to Apply

Sri Lanka visa for Indian passport holders is one of easiest to get due to simplication of procedures and helpful tourism ministery. 

How to apply for Sri Lanka for Indian Tourists. Follow the below steps : 

  1. Open Sri Lanka ETA official Website  
  2. Click on Apply and you will be redirected to new Tab.
  3. Instructions and Conditions will shown up on Screen. Click on I Agree.
  4. Select Apply as an Individual (If you are travelling alone or solo) or Apply as a Group (If travelling as a Group or a family) as applicable.
  5. Fill your personal and travel details in the Form
  6. Pay the fees (Fees for Whole group can be paid at once if Apply as a Group is selected).
  7. Receive your ETA grant letters in the EMail.

*Sri Lankan Visa is provided free of cost to indian passport holders either on arrival or eta. Process to get the visa is same.  This is valid till 31st January 2020.
